Friends
We need your help.
The NSW Police Force Branch of the Men of League is holding its first fund raising activity with a golf day at Ryde Parramatta on the 27th October. The focus of the day will be to raise urgently need funds for an inspirational 7 year old girl Georgia Sindel. Georgia is the daughter of a serving police officer and her dad is a corrective services officer.
Please take the time to read the attached story of Georgia’s life so far, it says it all but in short she suffers from Cerebral Palsy, Cortical Vision Impairment, right side spastic quadriplegia and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Georgia has significant mobility impairment; poor muscle control and coordination, limited movement and severely affected motor skills.
Chances are Georgia will never have the fun of walking let alone running around with other kids because her frail hips will not be able to support her body, leaving her dependant on a motorised chair. We aim to at least raise enough money to buy her the chair that she so desperately needs.
This is not just about friends getting together for a game of golf but a day to raise enough money to make a little girls life better and to help her parents Kim and Chris cope with what will be a long hard journey. If you can help in any way it will be much appreciated.
All donations are tax deductible and funds raised will be put in trust for Georgia and managed by the Men of League Foundation.
We ask that you consider one of many options, sponsorship of a hole at either $1,000 or $500, donation of goods and/or services for prizes and raffles, a cash donation or raise a team and come along on the day. Those who sponsor a hole will have the opportunity to display banners or distribute advertising material.
